Initial state of the Motorcycle
Upon arrival the 1973 Honda CB350 was in dire need of some TLC. To begin restoration, every single component was stripped from the frame.
Multiple components were severely rusted so I resurfaced them using a sandblaster and repainted everything using industrial grade spray paint.
Sandblasting is the process of using compressed air to propel small abrasive particles to clean, smooth or etch a surface.

To upgrade the handling of the bike, a new front suspension was implemented. This was taken from a 2002 Suzuki GSX-R 750. To adapt this modern suspension, many parts of the frame needed to be modified. This included the triple clamp, stem, bearings, and fork.
This shows the old stem being pressed out of the triple clamp. The new stem that was installed allowed for compatibly with the vintage frame.
To ensure full mobility of the front forks, some small modifications of the frame needed to be made.
Upon arrival of the new front forks, oil leakage was observed. This required the complete disassembly of the shocks and installation of new dust and oil seals.
The refinished frame with the new front suspension. The new front suspension also allowed for the addition of twin hydraulic front brakes.
